“Judicial Continuous Training”

 

  Through the “judicial continuous training” project developed and implemented by the EU (“Acojuris Project”), Rany SADER from SADER & Associates (SA) did an introduction training concerning counterfeit products where he emphasized on the negative impact of counterfeit on health, environment, economy and other vital sectors.

  SADER highlighted on the problems brand owners are facing in combating counterfeit in Lebanon and the importance of the role of the judiciary in such a combat. He also accentuated the necessity of having severe judgments against anyone selling fake products. Judges were shown original packages/products and their counterfeit. This session was presided by Judge Gilles STRAEHLI (conseiller a la Chambre criminelle- Cour de Cassation- France) who emphasized on the importance of the efforts and results done in Lebanon and gave the audience an overview of the situation of the counterfeit magnitude in France.
